R. Scott (Parent)

My daughter received guitar lessons from Sunrays from the age of ten to fifteen. She started as a complete beginner but eventually attained a standard that even enabled her to begin to compose and perform her own songs. Her teacher Mr Radovic had great patience and clearly has a very good gentle manner with kids of this age. He took care to make the lessons interesting and fun and had a flexible approach, allowing my daughter to have input. He put a lot of effort into tailoring the lessons to her needs, which was greatly appreciated.

I started learning under Mrs Radovic at the North London Conservatoire when I was 13 years of age. It was at a point in my studies where I might have been swayed either to lose interest in the piano or start taking it seriously – the latter came to pass. The piano ceased to be a chore or an obligation, becoming a fascination and shortly after, a passion. I had transitioned from a previous teacher under whom I was merely ‘coasting’ to one who expertly saw me through some of the most important fundamental learning and certainly contributed to my decision to pursue music all my life.

As we quickly expanded my repertoire, I came to love exploring everything I had not thought to be possible on the instrument. After breezing through ABRSM grade 8 (distinction) and a substantial contemporary composition for solo piano and string orchestra, we continued privately for half an academic year after my graduation from the Conservatoire, in preparation for undergraduate auditions at English conservatoires. I would never have been able to enjoy my offer from Trinity Laban, if not for Mrs Radovic’s inspiring tutelage.

I always loved my guitar lessons with Mr Radovic. He was always so patient with me, motivating me to work hard but also interested in catering for what I wanted to do. Since learning from him I went on to play in several bands and as a solo artist, releasing music to this day and recently getting national radio play (BBC Radio). Mr Radovic’s lessons gave me a love for both guitar and music that I’m so grateful for today!

S Cooke (Music Teacher)

I first heard about Mr Radovic whilst a full-time music teacher at the Egham campus of ACS International Schools. Mr Radovic taught guitar at our sister school, ACS Hillingdon (London)and collaborated with us in a series of very successful music programmes.

As a tutor Mr Radovic established immediate rapport with the students. He was a patient, kind and painstaking teacher, who was careful to make sure that all the students felt comfortable, and were given appropriate musical challenges according to their experience and ability. He proved very good at encouraging the less confident students and enabling them to succeed beyond their level. As a colleague, Mr Radovic was thoughtful, considerate, imaginative and reliable, with a great sense of humour. I was greatly impressed by his skill as a guitarist and singer, his outstanding musicianship, and above all, his empathy with the students.
